Psychosocial disability is a term used by the NDIS. The term means different things for different people.
Many people don’t realise that their experiences with mental health, could be classified as a psychosocial disability. Some people do not like the term psychosocial disability and prefer not to use it to describe themselves.
It’s important to remember that psychosocial disability is a term the NDIS uses to categorize a significant mental health condition that impacts your day-to-day life. The “Reimagine My Life” workbook can be used as a tool to explore how your mental health condition may fit into the NDIS and to assist you in creating a plan application.
