What is self-care?

When asked ‘do you take care of yourself?’ most people would answer yes.  It’s not until people are asked ‘how do you take care of yourself?’ when the question becomes difficult to answer.

Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately to take care of our mental. Emotional and physical health.  It’s a simple concept, but something we often overlook.

Self-care is something that refuels us more then it does ‘take care of ourselves’.

Self-care should be something you actively plan to do, rather then something that just happens.

There are different types of self-care and everyone’s idea of self-care is different. For some it might be run or a jog, for others it might be reading a book or making time every afternoon to meditate in your garden.
