Caring for someone with a Psychosocial disability and the NDIS

When a person is applying for the NDIS it is important to consider the ‘informal supports’ a person may have.

The Carers Australia: Carers checklist has been designed to help carers to describe the support they provide to contribute to the NDIS planning process. It is not compulsory and you do not have to use it for the NDIS planning process, and you do not have to use it. It has been designed to be of use to carers in the preparation for planning sessions with the NDIS participant.

The checklist is for people who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend with a disability who is a participant in the NDIS or who is eligible to be a participant.
